MG: Walk me through your creative process from initial idea to final 3D digital product… I don’t really watch any anime but there's definitely an element of that style in my work too. I guess subconsciously I'm really inspired by renaissance and rococo art. SA: I really try not to go out of my way to be inspired anymore and try to draw from within or from memories and experiences. MG: Where does your inspiration come from? My mum sort of picked this design course for me at technical college even though I wasn't vibing the sounds of it at all, but maybe that’s the start of my professional creative career. Maybe in an alternate universe I would have been a mortician, real estate agent, props maker, automotive painter all things I wanted to do but didn’t have the focus. I left high school real early and tried to get into mortuary school but they shut down the school the year I wanted to enrol. It's not that I thought I couldn't have a creative career, I just sort of went with the flow and this is where I've ended up.

I was making art and designing things constantly all my life, but fell into full-time creative work by accident. MG: Did you always want to pursue a career in the creative industry?
